THUJOPSIS dolabrata

'Hiba'. Related to Thuja, differing in its broader, flatter branchlets and larger leaves. It thrives in all types of well soil. A distinct and attractive, small to medium-sized tree or large shrub of dense, broadly conical habit. Branchlets flattened, bearing sprays of large, 4-ranked, scale-like leaves, shining dark green above, marked with conspicuous silver-white bands beneath. Cones to 20mm long. Male and female strobili are borne on the same tree.
